RECIPES > SAUSAGE STUFFED JALAPENOS

 

Ingredients:
22 large jalapenos (sliced in half lengthwise, and seeded*)
1 pound Colosimo mild or hot Italian sausage
8 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2 cup plus 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, separated
**Note: Unless you want really hot appetizers, be sure to clean out all of the seeds!!
You have been warned!

Preperations:
Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees F.
Remove casing and brown sausage in pan over medium heat.
In large bowl, mix cheeses. Add cooked sausage to cheeses. Mix until blended.
Stuff each jalapeno-half with the cheese/sausage mixture and place on a baking sheet lined with foil. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup parmesan cheese over each one.
Bake at 425 degrees F for 10-15 minutes.

Servings:
Serves 10-12 as an appetizer.
